Abstract

A cost-effective portable home unit for electrocardiogram (ECG) and blood pressure (BP) monitoring is described. The system helps to overcome past problems by simplifying home installation, operation, and maintenance, and by reducing cost. The strategy and methodology used in the design and development of the system, as well as the results, are presented.
