Abstract

In this issue of Developmental Cell, two complementary studies by Jiang etal. (2014) and Toledo etal. (2014) identify BuGZ as an interacting protein of the kinetochore adaptor Bub3 and show that it promotes the stabilization and kinetochore loading of Bub3, chromosome alignment, and mitotic progression.
