Abstract

In 1971 Bywaters reported on 14 patients with adult-onset Still's disease. Since that time, the disorder has been recognized with increasing frequency as a systemic illness characterized by fever, rash, and seronegative arthritis. We describe a young man with typical adult-onset Still's disease in whom transient ptosis and extraocular muscle weakness developed, attributed to an inflammatory orbital pseudotumor.
