Abstract

An aluminothermal reaction approach is used for the reaction between Al powder and other metal oxide(s) in a chemical vapor deposition furnace to generate a pressure burst of the intermediate vapor that subsequently condenses or reacts with gases to form micro-/nanomaterials on a substrate.
