Abstract

A case of early carcinoma cervix incidentally discovered to have an apparently benign looking hepatic lipoma on CT scan. Follow up scan at 18th month demonstrated near doubling in the size of lesion and development of an internal enhancing soft tissue component. Biopsy and surgical histopathology showed it to be a sarcomatous component within a lipoma. Although hepatic lipomas are rare and considered benign it is prudent to keep these under some follow up.
