Bryostatins: The Asymmetric Synthesis of the C 17 -C 27 Fragment

Abstract

Disconnection at C 20 -C 21 leads to two fragments. The C 21 -C 27 fragment is constructed from D-isoburyl lactate via chelationcontrolled allylation. The C 17 -C 20 fragment is obtained from D-pantolactone.
