Abstract

Dallas, Texas, recently joined the ranks of cities in the United States that have been plagued by outbreaks of chancroid. This article describes an epidemie of chancroid in Dallas County and presents cases that illustrate the spectrum of clinical illness that this venereal disease can produce. Also reviewed are the current diagnostic and therapeutic methods of managing patients with chancroid.
