Abstract

Optic neuritis is the most common manifestation of chloramphenicol neurotoxicity and it is occasionally associated with peripheral neuritis. We report a 12-year-old boy who presented to our hospital in August, 1987, with optic neuritis and peripheral neuropathy after prolonged administration of chloramphenicol.
