Abstract
Osteoarthritis is becoming more commonplace in younger age groups. These patients are more demanding to treat since they want to continue an active life style but wish to obtain significant pain relief with higher levels of activity. This review article will cover the various medical treatments available before operative intervention with total knee replacement is offered to this patient population.
