Current problems in bacterial infections of newborns

Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

Abstract

Four problems present major challenges in management of bacterial infections of newborns: delayed sterilization of cerebrospinal fluid in Gram-negative bacillary meningitis, prophylaxis for Group B streptococcal infection, nosocomial infections due to aminoglycoside-resistant enteric bacilli and infections associated with invasive procedures in high-risk neonates.
