Dermatologic reaction in Stevens-Johnson syndrome after ophthalmic anesthesia with proparacaine hydrochloride

Abstract

A 53-year-old woman, treated in the acute phase of Stevens-Johnson syndrome, received one drop of proparacaine hydrocholoride 0.5% in each eye for topical anesthesia. One hour later she developed new bullae of the hands and feet.
