N2 - Rheumatic complaints are common in the geriatric population. However, uncommonly autoimmune or musculoskeletal complaints and disorders may arise as a consequence of pharmacotherapy. These rare events include statin myopathy, drug-induced lupus, arthralgias, vasculitis, or tight skin syndromes. This article will discuss the possible iatrogenic causes of rheumatic conditions, potential inciting agents, and the various types of rheumatic manifestations seen in the elderly.
