Lanthanide ethylenediaminetetraacetates as aqueous shift reagents: Interaction with cyclopropane carboxylic acid

Abstract

Lanthanide-induced-shift data are presented for cyclopropane carboxylic acid binding to nine lanthanide ethylenediaminetetraacetate chelates at pH 6. Plots of the C(α) shift data by two linear methods reveal a break in the data near the center of the lanthanide series. Possible sources of this break are discussed.
