Abstract

Rheumatologic disorders disproportionally affect women during their childbearing years. In addition, rheumatologic disorders behave differently and unpredictably during pregnancy. An approach to the pregnant patient with an underlying rheumatic disorder will be discussed as well as a review of medications and their safety for use during pregnancy and lactation.
