Abstract
Nonpharmacological therapies are available to help manage hypertension. This paper reviews current evidence for the use of the following modalities: weight reduction; sodium restriction; supplements of potassium, calcium, and magnesium; reduction of saturated fat; limitation of alcohol; regular isotonic exercise, and relaxation.
