Abstract

For purposes of this discussion, obscure gastrointestinal bleeding will be defined as acute or chronic gastrointestinal bleeding for which no source has been determined by routine endoscopic and roentgenographic evaluation, either because such tests cannot be performed or because their results have been inconclusive.
