Abstract

Organ cultures of lymph nodes obtained from nonimmunized rabbits were incubated with bacteriophage φX174; as a result, 19S antibody was produced first, and then 7S antibody. Differences between this response and the secondary response to φX174 induced in vitro suggest that the former is a primary response.
