A 36-year-old female with hemoglobin Nottingham (betaFG 5(98) Val → Gly) causing severe hemolytic anemia and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension presented with symptomatic subacute right lower lobar pulmonary arterial thrombosis requiring surgical pulmonary thrombectomy.
