Abstract

The authors report their preliminary impressions of a caregiver enrichment program designed to mitigate caregiver burden, The program included individual needs assessment, an educational program, home visits, and an algorithm-based series of interventions based on a modification of the Caregiver Burden Inventory (CBI). Six illustrative cases are included that demonstrate the need for individualized assessment and intervention rather than a fixed program of interventions.
