Abstract

Tw2+ cells are an interstitial muscle progenitor population that fuses specifically with fast-twitch myofibers. Li et al. show that the mechanism of fiber-type specificity revolves around a chemorepulsion system mediated by Sema3a and Nrp1 signaling.
