Abstract

In this paper a method of determination of apexes and planes of multiple level angular deformity of long bone is proposed The simplified 3D long bone model is first created from its biplanar X-ray images. This model is composed of two components, a 3D curve representing its central axis and a series of ellipses centralized on the 3D curve. Then the Total Curvature analysis is applied on the 3D curve to determine the deformity apexes and planes.
