Abstract

We report a case of hydatid cyst of spine involving T7-T8 bodies with paraspinal extension. The unique feature of this case is extension of the cyst posteriorly involving posterior paraspinal muscles with dissection along the muscle planes from T2 to T10. The MR imaging findings of the cyst are described.
