Abstract

Post-traumatic injury of the cervical spine is initially evaluated with radiographs. A careful, systematic review of the images is critically important. Additional bony imaging is accomplished with cervical CT scan. The soft tissues of the spinal canal, including the spinal cord, are best imaged with MRI.
