Abstract

While the benefits of antipsychotic medication use in the elderly are clear, there still remains no consistently effective treatment for tardive dyskinesia, and usage strategies that consider tardive dyskinesia risk should be considered at the outset of therapy. This article addresses the prevention and management of tardive dyskinesia in the elderly.
