The role of escherichia coli in diarrheal disease

Abstract

There is ample evidence for the pathogenicity of certain serotypes of Esch. coli for infants. Adults may carry these in their bowel. The author believes enteritis with this organism as the cause may occur more often in adults than has been thought.
