Abstract
RNA editing is an essential cellular process mediated by ADARs, but few trans regulators are known. Freund et al. use BioID to identify ADAR interactors, including all DZF-domain-containing proteins. One of these, ILF3, is shown to be a global negative regulator of editing, establishing this family as influential editing regulators.
