Use of gadolinium-DTPA-enhanced MRI to characterize renal mass in patient with renal insufficiency

Abstract

A patient with chronic renal insufficiency was found to have an indeterminate renal mass after renal ultrasound, non-contrast CT, and noncontrast MRI studies. The mass was correctly diagnosed as an enhancing tumor with gadolinium-DTPA-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging.
