Abstract

Adenoidectomy is routinely performed in children with adenoid enlargement and sleep disordered breathing (SDB). An adenoidectomy can be performed as an isolated procedure or as part of an adenotonsillectomy. This article describes a number of transnasal and transoral techniques that can be used successfully for removal of the adenoids in children with SDB.
