Abstract

Four linked genes Pgm-1, β-Gus, Mor-2, and Dip-3 are assigned to mouse chromosome 5. In man, βGUS and MDH2 (analogous to mouse Mor-2) are linked on chromosome 7. The data presented indicate that human PEPS is linked to PGM2 on chromosome 4 and not to the chromosome 7 markers. This comparison of the human and mouse gene maps shows that in evolution mouse chromosome 5 is related by genetic linkage studies to portions of human chromosomes 4 and 7.
