Abstract

Normal, suspension culture-adapted, and polyoma-transformed baby hamster kidney cells were observed to attach to different substrata according to the wettability of the substrata surfaces. Cells generally attached better to surfaces of glass, polystyrene, stainless steel, aluminum, and polycarbonate than they attached to surfaces of polyethylene, TPX, and polypropylene. Normal cells attached slightly better than transformed cells to some of the surfaces.
