Comparative gene mapping in man and mouse

Assignment of the genes for lactate dehydrogenase-A, peptidase-D, and isocitrate dehydrogenase-2 to mouse chromosome 7

Abstract

In this report, data are presented which demonstrate that the genes coding for mouse lactate dehydrogenase-A (LDH-A, E.C. 1.1.1.27), peptidase-D (PEP-D, E.C. 3.4.13.9), and isocitrate dehydrogenase (mitochondrial) (ID-2, E.C. 1.1.1.42) are linked to the gene coding for glucose phosphate isomerase (GPI, E.C. 5.3.1.9) and can be assigned to mouse chromosome 7. In man, LDH(A) is assigned to chromosome 11, IDH(M) (homologous to mouse Id-2) is assigned to chromosome 15, and PEPD and GPI are linked on chromosome 19.
