Abstract

The paper considers a self-consistent model of transport based on the assumption of the multi-stage nature of the volumetric process of transfer of matter in thin membranes. The derivation of the expression for the rate of transmembrane transfer is based on the concepts of the theory of absolute reaction rates. The use of the Brensted rule on the presence of a linear link of the activation energy of the process and the corresponding thermal effect allows one to find the link between the parameters of the theory and the form of the curve of the potential energy of the ion in the membrane.
