Comprehensive chromosome analysis in diminished ovarian reserve patients

Abstract

Aneuploidy is a major source of adverse outcomes in human reproduction. Comprehensive chromosome analysis, now termed preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A), involves in vitro fertilization (IVF), embryo biopsy, diagnosis, and selective chromosomally normal embryo transfer and aims to improve IVF success. Currently, there are limited data on PGT-A implementation in patients with diminished ovarian reserve. In this chapter, we will provide an overview of approaches for embryo biopsy, applied diagnostic technologies, and clinical outcomes and discuss the benefit and risk of the implementing PGT-A on diminished ovarian reserve patients.
