Abstract
Aim: Multiple risk factors for coronary heart disease must be considered in order to establish both the overall risk status of each hypertensive patient and the most appropriate therapeutic approach. Coronary heart disease and hypertension: Particular attention is required for those risk factors that are more prevalent in hypertensive patients. Guidelines for their recognition have been provided.
