Physician Graduate Medical Education has provided opportunities from which to learn regarding the logistics of establishing and maintaining postgraduate training. Importantly, physician residencies and fellowships receive financial support from established federal sources; however, funding needed for nurse practitioner/physician assistant training involves local resources or the securing of other external funding, which is quite limited. The RCO is provided as a means to facilitate the on-the-job training experience for nurse practitioners/physician assistants and the rheumatology practices in which they work.",
