Abstract

Despite the emergence of new technologies, the voiding cystourethrography (VCUG) currently remains as a simple, safe, reliable, and readily available radiological study to evaluate the female lower urinary tract. After a brief historical review, the technique, indications, and interpretation of the VCUG have been reviewed using a practical approach to serve both the radiologist and the urologist dealing with the investigation of lower urinary tract disorders in females.
