Abstract
This article reviews new developments n the field of polycystic ovarian syndrome and insulin resistance, focusing on the inter relationship of the two syndromes and newer therapeutic options that are available. Recommendations for screening PCOS patients for diabetes are included. Therapeutic trials with the new oral hypoglycemic agents are evaluated.
